Crockpot Taco Soup


Taco Soup

1.5 lbs ground beef
5 cups beef broth or stock
1 cup salsa of choice
1 red onion, peeled and diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 medium tomatoes, diced (or two 14.5 oz cans diced, drained)
1 4oz can diced green chiles,
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking meat up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. About 10-12 minutes.
Drain fat from meat and add to a slow cooker with remaining ingredients. Stir well.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir well before serving.
